Information on treatment and surgery
Immediate Implant SurgeryA regular implant procedure involves tooth extraction, followed by placement of implants after couple of months. On the other hand, immediate implant surgery involves the placement of implants immediately after extraction, on the same day. This is a quick method that minimises loss in bone mass, pain and/or damage to the tissues and a natural integration between the bone and implant, allowing the patients to recovery quickly.

Cases that require Immediate Implant Surgery:
- Patient in need of tooth extraction due to severe caries (cavity)
- Patient in need of tooth extraction due to damage or fracture in teeth
- Patient in need of tooth extraction due to severe gum and tooth disease.
Cases most suitable for Immediate Implant Surgery:
- Young and healthy patients
- Strong and dense bone around the extracted tooth
- Small inflammation at the tip of the roots

Zeah Doctor’s Guide
Dr. Young Ho Kang (Chairman)
It is essential to establish a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific condition and diagnosis.
Unlike regular implant procedures, immediate implant surgery can complete the full procedure right after the extraction, on the same day. However, as it is not suitable for everyone, it is important to devise the most appropriate treatment plan based on patient diagnosis. To obtain a successful result, the health of the bone, soft tissues, structure and alignment of the upper and lower jaw and the patient’s overall health must be considered.
