Dental LaminatesDental laminates are a prosthodontic method of attaching a ceramic layer on the outer surface of teeth to correct problems such as protruding teeth, gaps and discolouration. A 0.3-0.6mm thin layer of ceramic material is attached after removing the surface layer of enamel. Dental laminates are efficient in immediately improving aesthetic problems in a short treatment period by attaching the piece of ceramic just like a fake nail.
Cases that require Dental Laminates:

- Patients with broken or worn teeth
- Those in need of permanent whitening effect
- Patients with uneven front teeth

Dental laminates are not just a simple prosthodontic treatment. Even with years of experience on dental laminates, it is still not easy to completely find a solution that meets the patient¡¯s aesthetic needs. Hence, it is essential to have extensive clinical experience and insight knowledge to ensure satisfactory results. In cases where patient¡¯s gum is inflamed, the laminate could be the source of further infection, hence, needs to be treated prior to receiving dental laminates. The sharp pain on the teeth will ease over time and is advised that the patient refrains from biting on hard food or anything that may irritate the teeth after the treatment.
